The hotel is located on the beach of the Venice Lido overlooking the Adriatic. The Lido water bus terminal is on the other side of the island, about 15 minutes' walk away. But the hotel has a private water taxi which can quickly convey you to St Mark's Square.

A legend of the Venice Lido, the Des Bains Hotel welcomes guests from mid-March to late October. Surrounded by lush parkland, it is housed in an imposing, Palladian style building and overlooks the beach. The public spaces are sumptuously decorated in an Art Nouveau style, with parquet floors and Murano glass chandeliers. The 191 guestrooms and suites are brightened with Belle Époque flourishes and enhanced by private balconies. All are clean and impeccably maintained, as are the en suite bathrooms. The hotel offers a variety of dining options. In the picturesque “Liberty Restaurant,” classical liberty style frescoes and ornamented walls create a warm ambience in which to enjoy Italian and International cuisine. The elegant “Thomas Mann Hall” (named after the author of “Death in Venice”) welcomes guests for breakfast in a luxurious setting, its pastel coloured walls adorned with gilded white stucco decorations. Open from June to September, the “Pagoda Lounge” – an all-in-one restaurant, bar, and nightclub – is one of Venice Lido's trendiest venues and social meeting points, with a lovely terrace overlooking the sea. Here, new cuisine creations combine Italian and oriental flavours for a fusion experience, enhanced by light background music. At sunset, guests can breathe in the fresh sea air from the terrace of the “Bar Colony”, the best place to grab a refreshing cocktail and traditional Venetian appetizer. And during the summer months the “Pool Bar”, located the outdoor pool, is ideal for relaxing and sipping on cool, summer cocktails or enjoying a sandwich or snack.
